Vinh Long
Vĩnh Long is the capital of Vĩnh Long Province in Vietnam's Mekong Delta. The name was spelled 永隆 ("eternal prosperity") in the former Han-Nom writing system. Vĩnh Long covers 48.1 km2 and has a population of 147,039 (as of 2009). Vĩnh Long is on the Cổ Chiên river, which branches out from the Mekong River at the narrows of Mỹ Thuận about 10 kilometers upstream, only to meet it later downstream.

Thu Thiem Tunnel
The Saigon River Tunnel is an underground tunnel that opened on November 20, 2011. It runs underneath the Saigon River in Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city of Vietnam. The tunnel was built with capital from the Japanese ODA, in conjunction with a consortium of Japanese contractors. The tunnel connects the existing urban center of Ho Chi Minh City with Thu Thiem New Urban Area in District 2.

Sa Đéc town
Sa Đéc is a town in Đồng Tháp Province in the Mekong Delta of southern Vietnam. It is a river port and agricultural and industrial trading center. During the Vietnam War in 1966 and 1967, it was the site of an American PBR Patrol Boat, River base. Later on, it became a Swift Boat base, as well. Before the nineteenth century, it was the capital of Dong Khau Dao, and it was known as one of the largest cities in the Mekong Delta. Today, the town has a population of approximately 103,000.
