Mount Selinda

Mount Selinda is a village and mission station in the province of Manicaland, Zimbabwe located close to the Mozambique border some 30 km south east of Chipinge. Tea and coffee are grown in the mountainous area around the village. The mission station was established in 1892 by the East Central Africa Mission. In 1919, Emory Alvord, arrived at the mission and taught western farming methods to the local population. He also established the Nyanyadzi irrigation scheme.
