World's View, Nyanga

World's View is a spectacular vista viewed from the northern part of the Eastern Highlands mountain range, just North of Nyanga, in eastern Zimbabwe. The view point is popular with tourists. The view includes the plains and hills that rolls away from the range to the far west. Land as far as Rusape and even (it is claimed) Harare beyond can be seen on clear days.

Ziwa

Ziwa, or Ziwa ruins (formerly Van Niekerk ruins after Major Pompey Van Niekerk who was second in command of the Afrikaner Corps) is the name used to describe the remains of a vast late Iron Age agricultural settlement that has been dated to the 17th century. The site is located in Nyanga, Zimbabwe. Ziwa was declared a National Monument in 1946 and is currently under consideration for World Heritage listing.
