Charkh District

Charkh District is situated in the southern part of Logar Province, Afghanistan. Kharwar District was created from the former big Charkh District. The population is 39,400 (2006). The district center is the village of Charkh, located on {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:33.7967|N|68.9411|E||||| | |name= }} at 2108 m altitude in a river valley. The district is mountainous and the winters here are severe and some villages are isolated for long periods.

Pul-i-Alam

Pul-i-Alam is the provincial capital of Logar Province, Afghanistan as well as of Pul-i-Alam District. The population of Pul-i-Alam is estimated at around 108,000, which is composed of Pashtuns, Tajiks Pul-i-Alam has undergone massive reconstruction work after the fall of Taliban. A provincial reconstruction team PRT Logar of the Czech Republic is based in Pul-i-Alam.

Saydabad District is a district of Wardak Province, Afghanistan. The district is known for its pleasant climate, including hilly vegetation, streams, and orchards. The district was a popular retreat for Kabul residents until an increase in ISAF-Taliban violence in the late 2000s.
