Viana, Angola

Viana is a town in the Luanda Province, Angola. Viana lies 15 to 30 kilometers east as a suburb of the capital Luanda and is home to 68.000 inhabitants including about 6,000 long-term refugees, primarily from Katanga Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Viana is about a 90 minute drive from downtown Luanda. The town was founded on 13 December 1963 and includes the towns of Viana and Barra do Kwanza, Calumbo and Zango.

Agostinho Neto University

The Agostinho Neto University (Universidade Agostinho Neto) is a public Angolan university based in the capital, Luanda. Until 2009, it had campuses in all major Angolan cities. In the academic year 2005–06, 68 licensing courses were ministered by Agostinho Neto University: 18 in Bachelor’s and 15 in Master’s degrees, involving areas of scientific knowledge in the faculties, institutes and higher learning schools. It is one of seven public (state owned) universities in Angola.

Catholic University of Angola

The Catholic University of Angola (Universidade Católica de Angola, UCAN) is a Catholic institution in Angola's capital of Luanda. On 7 August 1992, the government of Angola allowed the Angolan Catholic Church to establish its own university. Through approval by the Episcopal Conference it started teaching on 22 February 1999. It is a private institution and one of twelve recognized privates universities. Damião António Franklin, archbishop of Luanda, is the president of the UCAN.

Estádio 11 de Novembro

The Estádio 11 de Novembro is a multi-use stadium in Luanda, Angola. Completed in 2010 ahead of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations, it hosted nine matches during the tournament, including five Group A matches, one group b match, one quarter final, one semi-final, and the final. Its capacity is 50,000. The stadium is named for the date of Angola's independence. The statium is located in Belas municipality at the Expressway surrounding Luanda on the land side.
