Lermontov, Armenia

Lermontov (Armenian: Լերմոնտով; also, Lermontovo; formerly, Voskresenovka) is a town in the Lori Province of Armenia. Like its neighbor, Fioletovo, it is the location of one of the Russian Molokan settlements in Armenia. The town is named after Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov, often called "the poet of the Caucasus".

Fioletovo

Fioletovo (until 1936, Nikitino) is a village in the Lori Province of Armenia. The settlement was renamed in 1936 to honor Ivan Fioletov, a socialist activist shot along with the Baku Commissars. This village has a majority of Molokans, a Christian sect who evolved from Spiritual Christian Russian peasants that refused to obey the Russian Orthodox Church, in the beginning of the 17th century. Few members of the sect settled in Armenia during the 19th century.
