Budj Bim

Budj Bim is the Gunditjmara name for the extinct volcano Mount Eccles in southwestern Victoria, Australia. The name means High Head. The eruptions of the volcano 20,000 to 30,000 years ago produced the Tyrendarra lava flow which flowed in a generally southerly direction into the ocean at Tyrendarra.

Condah, Victoria

Condah is a small town in south west Victoria, Australia and is located on the Henty Highway north of Heywood. At the 2006 census, Condah and the surrounding area had a population of 272. Condah Post Office opened on 12 May 1868 and closed in 2001. Condah Pub has been open since 1854 and still thrives today.

Mount Eccles National Park is a national park in Victoria, Australia, 270 km west of Melbourne. Mount Eccles is located inside the national park and is the site of the most recent active volcano in Australia. The first activity was about 40,000 years ago when Mount Eccles was formed by lava pouring out the Earth's crust. The most recent eruption was approximately 8,000 years ago.

Shire of Glenelg

The Glenelg Shire is a local government area in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the western part of the state. It includes the towns of Casterton, Heywood, Merino and Portland. It has an area of 6,213 square kilometres. Although the Shire existed before the amalgamations of mid-1990s, the current Shire (now referred to as 'Glenelg Shire' to bring clarity) was formed in 1994 from the merger of the former Glenelg with the Shire of Heywood and City of Portland.
