Arundel, Queensland

Arundel is a suburb on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. At the 2006 Census, Arundel had a population of 9,311. Located in the suburb is the Coombabah Lake Conservation Park, bordered by Coombabah Creek and adjacent to the Ivan Gibbs Wetlands Reserve in Coombabah. Situated nearby is the Arundel Hills Country Club, with its own golf course. Arundel Primary School and AB Paterson College are the two schools in Arundel.

Lake Terang

Lake Terang was a lake near Terang, Victoria. Following European settlement of the area surrounding the lake in the 19th century the lake began to dry out. It was drained in the 1960s and is now used as a recreation area, for agriculture and as part of the Terang Golf Course. The sediments of Lake Terang go back 350,000 years and are of significant interest for palaeoecology and the geologic history of western Victoria.
