Barfold Gorge

Barfold Gorge is a four kilometre long gorge on the Campaspe River at Barfold in Victoria in Australia. It is up to 80 metres deep and has two waterfalls, basalt columns and a lava cave. It was created by a sequence of four or more lava flows which commenced six million years ago. The gorge is on private property, a 246 hectare sheep and cattle farm and is rarely open to the public. However, a conservation covenant has been incorporated in the land title.

1945 Australian National Airways Stinson crash

On 31 January 1945 a Stinson Model A aircraft departed from Melbourne, Australia for a flight of 127 nautical miles to Kerang, Victoria. It crashed 50 nmi from Melbourne. All ten occupants were killed in the accident. The aircraft was one of four Stinsons imported in 1936 by Airlines of Australia. Three had now crashed with the loss of 17 lives, and the fourth would not be permitted to fly again.

Baynton, Victoria

Baynton is a small rural community in central Victoria, Australia. Baynton is approximately 20 km north-east of Kyneton, and 20 km north-west of Lancefield. Baynton's elevation varies from 450 to 650 metres (1,475–2,130 ft) above sea level, and rainfall averages 675 millimetres per annum. Agriculturally the region produces wool, lamb, beef and wine. Baynton is home to several wineries, and tourism has become an important component of the region's economy.

Mia Mia Bridge

The Mia Mia Bridge, also known as the Redesdale Bridge, is one of the oldest iron lattice-truss bridges in Victoria, Australia. The Mia Mia Bridge is a wrought iron and timber structure with bluestone abutments, located over the Campaspe River near the town of Redesdale. The bridge was completed in January 1868, despite a carved commemoration stone having the date 1867.

Redesdale, Victoria

Redesdale is a town in central Victoria, Australia. , 115 kilometres north west of the state capital, Melbourne. It is located partly in the City of Greater Bendigo local government area and partly in the Shire of Mount Alexander. At the 2006 census, Redesdale and the surrounding area had a population of 307.
