Panmure, Victoria

Panmure is a small town in the south west of Victoria, Australia. At the 2006 census, Panmure and the surrounding area had a population of 421. The township was established in the 1850s. Timbercutters came to the area to harvest the River Red gum, stringybark and messmate trees, which were transported by bullock teams to nearby sawmills. The clearing of the native forest and relatively high rainfall gave rise to a thriving dairy industry, which persists today.

Mount Warrnambool

Mount Warrnambool is a single large scoria cone volcano that is 216 metres high. Mount Warrnambool is 16 kilometres south west of Terang, Victoria, Australia. It is visible from the Princes Highway on the way to Warrnambool. The last eruption was over 5,000 years ago. Lava and tuff also form layers in the area. The tuff forms a partial ring that wraps around the east and north side of the volcano. The ring of tuff could be on other sides of the volcano too, except that it is covered in lava.

3RPH Warrnambool

3RPH Warrnambool (callsign 3RPH/T) is a radio station based in Warrnambool, Victoria. It is part of the Vision Australia Radio network, a reading and information service for those persons unable to read or easily access information in print. The station is run and operated by volunteers. There is another station in the network with the same 3RPH/T callsign, 3RPH Warragul When not broadcasting local programs, the station is a relay of 3RPH in Melbourne.

Mount Emu Creek is a long but small meandering waterway located in the west of Victoria. The total length of the Mount Emu Creek is over 250 kilometres. The creek forms near Trawalla, and Trawalla Creek flows to Mount Emu Creek, the quantity and quality of water from Trawalla Creek is of great importance to Mount Emu Creek. Trawalla Creek drains the area of highest rainfall within Mount Emu Creek’s catchment.

Arundel, Queensland

Arundel is a suburb on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. At the 2006 Census, Arundel had a population of 9,311. Located in the suburb is the Coombabah Lake Conservation Park, bordered by Coombabah Creek and adjacent to the Ivan Gibbs Wetlands Reserve in Coombabah.
