Sumqayit
Sumgayit (Azerbaijani: Sumqayıt; Russian: Сумгаит; also, Sumgait and Sumqayyt) is one of the largest cities in Azerbaijan, located near the Caspian Sea, about 31 kilometres away from the capital, Baku. The city has a population of 308,700 (2009 census), making it the third-largest city in Azerbaijan after the capital Baku and Ganja. The city has a territory of 83 km². Mehdi Huseynzade Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Sumqayit, Azerbaijan, currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Sumgayit City PFC. It has 15,350 seating capacity. On 3 November 2011, it was announced that there is a new project on the reconstruction of the stadium. AF Hotel
AF Hotel is officially the largest hotel in the Caucasus. It is a four-star hotel and aqua park on the Caspian Sea in Novkhani, 21 kilometres from the centre of Baku, Azerbaijan. The hotel has 300 rooms, 40 luxury triple suites and 16 two story cottages. The family entertainment complex features boat racing and a water park. Jeyranbatan reservoir (Azerbaijani: Ceyranbatan su anbarı) is an artificial lake in the Absheron Rayon in eastern part of Azerbaijan. It is located between Baku and Sumgayit cities, next to Ceyranbatan settlement 20 km away from Baku. In Azerbaijani Jeyranbatan means "the place where the gazelle has drowned" which refers to an ancient legend related to the naming of city of Sumgayit.
