Saint George's Church (Bulgarian: църква „Свети Георги“, tsarkva „Sveti Georgi“) is a church in Gavril Genovo, a village in northwestern Bulgaria, part of Georgi Damyanovo municipality, Montana Province. It was built in 1873 by the architect Alekso Angelkov of the Slavine Architectural School in the village of Sotochino, today one of the two neighbourhoods of Gavril Genovo.

Gavril Genovo
Gavril Genovo is a village in northwestern Bulgaria, part of Georgi Damyanovo Municipality, Montana Province. It was formed in 1955 through the merger of Sotochino and Ilitsa (pre-1934 Sarblyanitsa). It was named after September Uprising leader Gavril Genov. Sotochino was first recorded in 1607 while Sarblyanitsa ("Sarbitsa") was first mentioned in 1576. The two villages were described in 1666 as small neighbouring settlements that had six and eight houses each.

Ogosta Reservoir
Ogosta is a lake in the North West of Bulgaria. It is the second largest artificial lake in Bulgaria and The Balkan Peninsula and one of the biggest in Europe. It collects the waters of the rivers Ogosta, Burzia and Zlatitsa and is located about 600 meters to the south-west of the border of Montana city and 60 m. above the level of the city. The water collecting basin is with area of 948 km and the area of the lake itself is 24 hectares.
