Ognyanovo

Ognyanovo is a village in the Pazardzhik Province, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 2,604 inhabitants. The village is situated on the main railway between Sofia and Plovdiv. There is a lime factory.

Sinitovo

Sinitovo is a village in the Pazardzhik Province, western Bulgaria. As of 2005 the population is 2 160. It is located at an altitude of 200 m in a fertile agricultural region near the Maritsa river. The main products grown in the area include wheat, maize, peppers, while the most spread domestic animal is the sheep. The village is mentioned in Ottoman documents from 1576, 1607, 1696. There is a kindergarten, school, chitalishte and a church "Sv. Georgi" from 1884.

Luda Yana

The Luda Yana (Bulgarian: Луда Яна, "Crazy Yana") is a 74 km-long river in southern Bulgaria, a northern tributary of the Maritsa River. It runs through the towns of Panagyurishte and Strelcha, as well as a number of villages, including Popintsi, where there are considerable driftage gold deposits. The river flows into the Maritsa several kilometres east of Pazardzhik, at the village of Sinitovo.

Red Church (Bulgaria)

The Red Church is a large partially preserved late Roman Christian basilica in south central Bulgaria. Dating to the late 5th–early 6th century, the church stands near the town of Perushtitsa in western Plovdiv Province, some 15 kilometres southwest of the city of Plovdiv. The Red Church is a rare example of solid brick construction in a church from Late Antiquity in Bulgaria, and it was the red colour of the bricks that gave the church its name.

Perushtitsa

Perushtitsa or Perushtitza is a Bulgarian town located in the Plovdiv Oblast at the foot of the Rhodopes, 22 kilometers south of Plovdiv. The town is famous throughout Bulgaria for the fight that took place there in 1876 during the April Uprising against the Ottoman reign. During the suppression of the uprising by Turkish irregulars, the majority of the residents were slaughtered.
