Saraya, Pazardzhik Province

Saraya is a village in Pazardzhik Province, southern Bulgaria. The population as of 2006 is 1,516. The village is situated very close to the Trakiya motorway near its juncture with the road Pazardzhik-Panagyurishte. The main occupation for its inhabitants is agriculture due to the favourable climatic conditions in the area. There are many glasshouses in the region in which early vegetables are grown. Stock-breeding is very important with several farms for cattle, pigs and sheep.

Gelemenovo

Gelemenovo is a village in the Pazardzhik Province, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 the population is 803. It is located at just a kilometre to the north of Trakiya motorway. There is an anti-hail installation near the village with disperses the hail-clounds in the summer with special missiles.

Mokrishte

Mokrishte is a village in the Pazardzhik Province, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 the population is 2,090. It located at an altitude of 210 m, at 2,5 km to the south west of Pazardzhik and at 0,1 km of the railway-stop/station Sofia-Plovdiv. Agriculture is efficient and productive with large areas covered with orchards and vegetables. Livestock breeding is also well developed. There is a school and chitalishte.

Georgi Benkovski Stadium

Georgi Benkovski Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of PFC Hebar Pazardzhik. The stadium holds 13,128 people and was built in 1989.

Septemvri-Dobrinishte narrow gauge line

The Septemvri–Dobrinishte narrow gauge line (Bulgarian: теснолинейка Септември — Добринище, tesnolineyka Septemvri — Dobrinishte) is the only operating narrow gauge (760 mm) line in Bulgaria. It is operated by Bulgarian State Railways (BDŽ). The line is actively used with seven passenger trains running per day. The journey takes five hours through the valleys and gorges between Rila and Rhodopes.
