Skobelev Park

Skobelev Park (Скобелев парк) is a museum park in the vicinity of Pleven, Bulgaria. It was built between 1904 and 1907 on the very battlefield of the Siege of Plevna during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78, specifically the third assault of General Mikhail Skobelev's detachment between 30 August and 11 September 1877. The park is located in a valley called Martva dolina (Мъртва долина, "Dead Valley") because of the 6,500 killed and injured Russian and Romanian soldiers during the battle.

Pleven Epopee 1877, more commonly known as Pleven Panorama, is a panorama located in Pleven, Bulgaria, that depicts the events of the Russian-Turkish War of 1877–78, specifically the five-month Siege of Plevna (Pleven Epopee) which made the city internationally famous and which contributed to the Liberation of Bulgaria after five centuries of Ottoman rule.

Pleven Regional Historical Museum

The Pleven Regional Historical Museum (Bulgarian: Регионален исторически музей — Плевен), founded in 1953, is one of the largest museums in Bulgaria. The museum is situated in a two-story edifice near the centre of Pleven that is a monument of culture of national importance and has an area of 7,000 m². Its main stock includes includes over 180,000 units and the museum library houses over 10,000 volumes of scientific literature and periodicals.
