Koznitsa (tunnel)

Koznitsa is a railway tunnel under the Koznitsa ridge in the Stara planina (Balkan Mountains), the longest tunnel in Bulgaria. The tunnel is located between the Bulgarian towns of Koprivshtitsa and Klisura and is 5,812 m long. It is the seventh tunnel on the Sofia–Karlovo line, starting at the exit of Koprivshtitsa station and ending just before Strema station.

Koprivshtitsa

Koprivshtitsa (from the Bulgarian word коприва, kopriva, meaning "nettle") is a historic town in Sofia Province, central Bulgaria, lying on the Topolnitsa River among the Sredna Gora mountains. It was one of the centres of the April Uprising in 1876 and is known for its authentic Bulgarian architecture and for its folk music festivals, making it a very popular tourist destination.

Dushantsi Reservoir

The Dushantsi dam is settled in the Balkan Mountains, Bulgaria. The dam wall can be easily reached by car, driving along the old road to Burgas. The area around the dam is used for outgoings, picnics, water sports and fishing. The Topolnitsa River feeds the dam, and is another suitable place for fishing.

Anton, Bulgaria

Anton is a village in western Bulgaria, part of Sofia Province. It is the administrative centre of Anton Municipality, which lies in the easternmost part of Sofia Province. Anton is situated in the Zlatitsa–Pirdop Valley, 80 kilometres east of the capital Sofia. The village is the only place in the eponymous municipality, which has an area of 76 square kilometres and includes the Vartopa area, part of the Central Balkan National Park. Anton's old name was Ladzhene (Лъджене).
