Suhozem

Suhozem is a village in the Kaloyanovo municipality, Plovdiv Province, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 173 inhabitants. The village finally has a church from 2002 when the new "Sveta Sofia" is consecrated by the bishop Arsenius. In 2004 a monument was built in the centre of the village to commemorate 7 local people and an American, Lt. David Kingsley, who perished during World War II in the vicinity of the village.

Sredna Gora

Sredna Gora is a mountain range in central Bulgaria, situated south of and parallel to Balkan mountain range (Stara Planina) and extending from the Iskar River to the west and the elbow of Tundzha north of Yambol to the east. Sredna Gora is 285 km long, reaching 50 km at its greatest width. Its highest peak is Golyam Bogdan at 1,604 m .

Banya Palace

Banya Palace (Bulgarian: дворец в Баня, dvorets v Banya) is a royal summer villa or small palace on the northern outskirts of the town of Banya in Karlovo municipality, Plovdiv Province, southern Bulgaria. It was commissioned to University of Karlsruhe-educated architect Ivan Vasilyov after Tsar Boris III of Bulgaria visited the town in 1925 and liked the climatic conditions and the curative mineral springs in the area, and finished in 1929.

Granit Oak

Granit Oak is an English (Pedunculate) oak tree that grows within the boundaries of Granit village, Bulgaria. The oak measures 2.38 m in diameter and 7.46 m in girth at waist level and reaches 23.4 m in height, but only eastern side branches remain alive. In March 1982 samples were taken with a pressler drill, from which it was estimated that the tree was 1637 years old. With an estimated germination date of 345 AD, it is the oldest tree in Bulgaria and one of the oldest in Europe.

Granit, Bulgaria

Granit is a village in southern Bulgaria, Bratya Daskalovi municipality, Stara Zagora Province. The village is famous for the oldest tree in Bulgaria and one of the most ancient in the world, the Granit Oak, estimated to be about 1,700 years old. It was formed in 1945 upon the merger of two villages, Golobradovo and Skobelovo. In 1989 its population was 1103.
