Chepelare River

The Chepelare River (Bulgarian: Чепеларска река, Chepelarska reka, also called Chaya, Чая and Asenitsa, Асеница) is a river in Bulgaria that takes its source from Rozhen Peak (around 1,500 m above sea level) in the Rhodopes. The river's length is about 87 km and two hydroelectric plants are constructed on it, with a total maximum power of 2,400 kW.

Narechen

Narechen is a village in the Plovdiv Province, central Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 924 inhabitants. It is set amid pine forest on the Assenitsa river in the Rhodopean mountain. The village is notable for its hypothermal mineral springs which have transformed it into an important spa resort. Narechen Glacier on Alexander Island in Antarctica is named after Narechen.

Marvelous Bridges

The Marvelous Bridges or Wonderful Bridges (Bulgarian: Чудни мостове, Chudni mostove) are natural arches in the Rhodope Mountains of southern Bulgaria. They are located in the karst valley of the Erkyupriya River in the Western Rhodopes at 1,450 metres metres above sea level, at the foot of Persenk Peak.

Laki, Bulgaria

Laki is a small town in the Plovdiv Province, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 2,615 inhabitants. It is located in the Rhodope mountains at 54 km to the south of the province capital Plovdiv and at 88 to the north of Smolyan. There is a lead-zinc flotation factory, several textile plants and timber workshops.
