Bozhurishte
Bozhurishte is a town in western Bulgaria. It is the administrative center of Bozhurishte Municipality in Sofia Province; close to Kostinbrod and the capital Sofia. The old airport of Sofia, now a military one, is near the town. Bozhurishte was first mentioned in 1750. Its name is derived from the flower peony (божур, bojur). TEREM, a former weapons manufacturer owned by the government and recently sold to private investors operates from Bozhurishte.

Lyulin, Sofia
Lyulin is the largest residential complex in the capital of Bulgaria -- Sofia. It is located in the western outskirts of city and is divided into 10 microdistricts. The complex has a population of 240,000 and is at the disposal of all kinds of public transport. Lyulin is a relatively new district. The infrastructural work on the complex began in 1971 and the first condominium was constructed in 1973. The complex is named after the nearby Lyulin Mountain.

NGDEK
NGDEK is an elite Bulgarian high school for ancient languages and cultures located in Sofia. It was founded in 1977 by Gergina Toncheva, who was the first principal of the school and gave its name St. Constantine-Cyril "The Philosopher". The challenging curriculum includes Latin, Ancient Greek, Old Church Slavonic and Cultural Studies of Antiquity, among others. An educational trip to Greece in the 10th grade is the highlight of the comprehensive program.

Lyulin Mountain
Lyulin (Bulgarian: Люлин or Люлин планина) is a range of hills in western Bulgaria, located several kilometres west of Sofia. The highest point is Dupevitsa Peak (1,256 m). The Buchino Pass divides the hills into two, a western and an eastern part. Bonsovi Polyani are a popular tourist attraction. On the slopes of Liulin are some of the most beautiful quarters of Sofia - Knyazhevo, Gorna Banya and Bankya, known with their mineral springs.

The university's campus is in the Ovcha kupel municipality in western Sofia and consists of two main buildings.
