Severen tsentralen

Severen Tsentralen is a planning region of Bulgaria, encompassing five Bulgarian provinces: Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Targovishte and Razgrad. The region is mostly inhabited by Bulgarians, Turkish and Romani people. Its largest cities are Ruse (population 175,000), Gabrovo (67,000) and Veliko Tarnovo (100,000, including hinterland). Strazhitsa

Strazhitsa (also transliterated Stražica, Strazhica, Strazhitza, etc. ) is a town in northeastern Bulgaria, part of Veliko Tarnovo Province. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Strazhitsa Municipality, which lies in the eastern part of the Province. The town is located in the central Danubian Plain, not far from the Balkan Mountains, 45 kilometres northeast of the provincial capital of Veliko Tarnovo. As of December 2009, it has a population of 5,170 inhabitants.

Opaka

Opaka is a town in the district of Turgovishte in northeast Bulgaria. As of December 2009, the town had a population of 2,873 and covers an area of 57 km². It is 70 km south of the city of Rousse on the border with Romania and 250 km northeast of the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. Archeologists have found evidence of Thracian, Roman and Slavonic settlements in the area.
