The Centre Georges-Vézina, formerly the Colisée de Chicoutimi, is a 4,724 capacity (3,683 seated) multi-purpose arena in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada. The arena was built in 1949 and features an Olympic-sized ice pad of 200' X 100'. It is named in honour of former Montreal Canadiens goalie and native from Chicoutimi Georges Vézina. It is home to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens ice hockey team of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League since 1973.

The conservatory was opened in 1967 and is part of a network of 9 conservatories in Quebec, the Conservatoire de musique et d'art dramatique du Québec (CMADQ), and was the seventh school in the CMADQ network to be established. Approximately 85 pupils are enrolled at the conservatory. Pierre Bourque served as the school's director in 1972-1973.

The Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) is a branch of the Université du Québec founded in 1969 and based in the Chicoutimi borough of Saguenay, Quebec. UQAC has secondary study centers in La Malbaie, Saint-Félicien, Alma and Sept-Îles. In 2003, 6583 students were registered and 209 professors worked for the university, making it the third largest of the ten Université du Québec branches, after UQAM and UQTR.

Located 225 kilometres north of Quebec City, it is home to a branch of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. When the city of Saguenay was constituted on February 18, 2002 by municipal amalgamation, the borough of Chicoutimi was created from the former city of Chicoutimi, the former city of Laterriére, and part of the former township of Tremblay.
