Hengqin New Area

Hengqin Dao is an island in Zhuhai, a prefecture-level city and Special Economic Zone in the Guangdong province of the People's Republic of China. It has a population of about 3,000. The whole island is designated a special economic district, as Hengqin New Area, similar to Binhai New Area in Tianjin and Pudong New Area in Shanghai.

Coloane is one of the two main islands of the Macau Special Administrative Region, located directly south of Macau's other main island, Taipa (氹仔, Dàngzǎi), and east of Hengqin Island of Zhuhai in Guangdong province. Coloane was known in Cantonese as Gau Ou Saan (九澳山, lit. "Nine-inlet Mountain", transcribed in Portuguese as Ká-Hó) and Yim Zou Waan (鹽灶灣, lit. "Salt-stove Bay"). Cotai Strip

The Cotai Strip is a major land reclamation project in Macau, a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China. The land reclamation project includes joining the two islands of Coloane and Taipa, and is part of the Macau government's continuous efforts to expand the region's territory.

Cotai (Port. Zona do Aterro de Cotai) is a 5.2 square kilometres piece of newly reclaimed land between Taipa and Coloane islands in Macau, that has not yet been assigned to any of the freguesias. The Chinese and Portuguese names are a portmanteau of the two islands, Coloane and Taipa. Cotai was created to provide Macau with a new gambling and tourism area since Macau is so densely populated and land is scarce.

Hac Sa Beach

Hac Sa Beach is the largest natural beach in the former Portuguese colony of Macau, now a Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. It is on the southeast side of Coloane. As its Chinese name implied, Hac Sa Beach is famous for its black sand. However, to prevent the beach from disappearing due to erosion, the government "refilled" the beach with yellow sand.
