Rua do Cunha

Rua do Cunha is a narrow pedestrian street in Vila da Taipa, the town centre of Taipa island, in the former Portuguese colony of Macau, in the People's Republic of China. It is known for shops selling almond cakes, phoenix egg rolls, coconut flakes, cherikoff and peanut candy, which travellers buy as "souvenirs", such as Choi Heong Yuen and Koi Kei. It is also known for the various Portuguese restaurants, including 'O Santos', which has been in business for 20 years, and 'O Galo'.

The Venetian Macao

The Venetian Macao is a luxury hotel and casino resort in Macau owned by the Las Vegas Sands. The Venetian is a 40-story, $2.4 billion anchor for the seven hotels on the Cotai Strip in Macau. The 10,500,000-square-foot Venetian Macao is modeled on its sister casino resort The Venetian Las Vegas, and is the sixth-largest building in the world by floor area. The Venetian Macao is the largest casino in the world, and the largest single structure hotel building in Asia.

University of Macau

The University of Macau has its origins in St. Paul´s College, founded in the 16th century by the Society of Jesus, and its modern reestablishment happened in 1981. It was the first and currently the largest university in Macau, a former Portuguese colony. Before it was renamed in 1991, it was formerly known as the University of East Asia. The university offers Doctoral, Master's and Bachelor's degree programs.

Macau, also spelled Macao, is one of the two special administrative regions of the People's Republic of China (PRC), the other being Hong Kong.
