Pamplonita River
The Pamplonita River is the main river of the Colombian city of Cúcuta and one of the most important of the Norte de Santander Department. The pamplonita river was used to transport cacao, the main form of wealth in the region and a major axis of the economy during the 18th and 19th centuries. Avianca Flight 410 was a flight that crashed at 13:17 on March 17, 1988, near Cúcuta, Colombia. The aircraft was a Boeing 727-21 operated by Avianca, the national airline of Colombia. Flight 410 was a regular scheduled domestic passenger flight from Cúcuta-Camilo Daza International Airport (CUC) to Cartagena de Indias-Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG). The aircraft crashed at El Espartillo mountain shortly after takeoff from runway 33 at Cúcuta.
