Buenos Aires (canton)
Buenos Aires is the name of the third canton in the province of Puntarenas in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 2,384.22 km², and has a population of 43,526. Its capital city is also called Buenos Aires. The canton includes a portion of the Cordillera de Talamaca along its northeastern border. The valleys of the Río General, Rio Coto Brus and Río Térraba form the core of the canton, and coastal mountain ranges set the limits on the southeast side.

Boruca people
The Boruca (also known as the Brunca or the Brunka) are an indigenous people living in Costa Rica. The tribe has about 2,660 members, most of whom live on a reservation in the Puntarenas Province in southwestern Costa Rica. The ancestors of the modern Boruca made up a group of chiefdoms that ruled most of Costa Rica's Pacific coast, from Quepos to what is now the Panamanian border, including the Osa Peninsula. Boruca traditionally spoke the Boruca language, which is now nearly extinct.

Finca Sonador
The Finca Sonador project was launched in 1979 to provide a home for Nicaraguan refugees. Salvadorians followed in 1982 and now there are about 500 Salvadorians, Nicaraguans and Costa Ricans people living in the village of Longo Mai in Costa Rica. The village, which comprises a school, two shops, two churches and a great sense of community, is developing into a point of interest for many visitors.
