Port of Ploče

The Port of Ploče is a seaport in Ploče, Croatia, near the mouth of the Neretva river on the Adriatic Sea coast. It was formally opened in 1945 after a railway was built as a supply route to connect the site with industrial facilities in the Sarajevo and Mostar areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was then part of Yugoslavia.

Baćina lakes

The Baćina lakes are located in Dalmatia, Croatia. They are named after the inland town of Baćina close to the port city of Ploče. The lakes are part of a picturesque landscape and surrounded by mountains. They are situated between Makarska and Dubrovnik. It is a crypto-depression lake, with its bottom below the surface of the sea.

Bay of Mali Ston

Bay of Mali Ston is a bay in the Adriatic Sea. The bay is located in Croatia's and partly in Bosnia and Herzegovina's territorial waters. The bay is named after the village of Mali Ston. Its southernmost point is at the isthmus of the Pelješac peninsula, while its mouth is located at the point where the peninsula turns westwards, away from the Neretva Delta.
