Varaždin is a city in North Croatia, 81 km north of Zagreb on the highway A4. The total population is 47,055, with 38,746 on 34.22 km of the city settlement itself (2011). It's mainly known for its baroque buildings, textile, food and IT industry.

Varaždin Arena

Varaždin Arena is a multi-use indoor arena in Varaždin, Croatia. It is used mostly for team handball and basketball matches. The stadium has a capacity of 5,400 people. It was used as one of the venues during the 2009 World Men's Handball Championship. It hosted all the Group C matches which consisted of Germany, Macedonia, Algeria, Poland, Russia and Algeria. The arena was officially opened on 6 December 2008.

Stadion Anđelko Herjavec

Stadion Anđelko Herjavec, also known as Stadion NK Varteks or Stadion Varteksa, is a football stadium in Varaždin, Croatia, and the home ground of NK Varaždin. The stadium was built in 1931, although it underwent several renovations after that, and currently has an all-seating capacity of 10,800. It consists of three stands, with the main stand being the only one with a roof. The stadium is located near the Varteks clothing factory, and also features a Varteks fan shop and a café.
