Brno-Slatina

Villa Tugendhat

Villa Tugendhat is a historical building in the wealthy neighbourhood of Černá Pole in Brno, Czech Republic. It is one of the pioneering prototypes of modern architecture in Europe, and was designed by the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Built of reinforced concrete between 1928-1930 for Fritz Tugendhat and his wife Greta, the villa soon became an icon of modernism.

Palace Moravia

Palace Moravia is a building in City of Brno, Czech Republic. In 1926, an architectonical competition for the model of a hotel was announced. This was supposed to be built on a place of former music-hall building. Beside home-born also such world-known architects as Peter Behrens and Jacobus Oud had participated in this contest. Eventually this place was built over by Arnošt Wiesner by a slightly different complex of buildings.
