ČEZ Aréna (Ostrava)

ČEZ Aréna is an indoor arena used mainly for ice hockey matches, in Ostrava-Jih, Ostrava, Czech Republic. It opened in 1986 and underwent a €23.3 million renovation in 2003–2004. The capacity of the arena is 9,568, plus 18 skyboxes, making it the fourth-largest hockey venue in the Czech Republic. The rink can be converted into seating for concerts, increasing the capacity to 12,000. It is the home of ice hockey club HC Vítkovice. In November 2003, the arena was given the name ČEZ Aréna.

Městský stadion (Ostrava)

Městský stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Ostrava-Vítkovice, Czech Republic. Used primarily for football, it is the home stadium of FC Vítkovice. It also hosts the annual Golden Spike Ostrava athletic event. The stadium holds 15,163 spectators.

Svinov

Svinov is an administrative district of the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. It lies on the bank of the Odra River, in the Silesian area of the city. The district lies in the historical region of Silesia and was first mentioned in a written document in 1265. In 1847 a railway station was built there and Svinov became an important railway junction on the Austrian Northern Railway. Quick industrialization followed and several transport companies were established.
