Hornsherred
Hornsherred is a peninsula between Roskilde Fjord and Isefjord on the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark. It falls within the expanded Frederikssund municipality and includes Jægerspris and Skibby and before 1 January 2007 a part of Bramsnæs Municipality, now a part of Lejre Municipality. It is connected to Frederikssund by the Kronprins Frederik bridge which was built in 1935. The area is increasingly popular as a venue for tourists with facilities for walking, cycling and sailing.

Skuldelev ships
The Skuldelev ships is a term used for 5 Viking ships recovered from Peberrenden by Skuldelev, c. 20 km north of Roskilde in Denmark. In 1962, the remains of the ships were excavated over 4 months. The recovered pieces constitute 5 types of ships and have been dated to the 11th century. They were allegedly sunk to prevent attacks from the sea. Information on "Skuldelev 4" is omitted, as the discovery of a fourth ship was found to be a part of Skuldelev 2.

Frederikssund
Frederikssund is a Danish town, seat of the Frederikssund Municipality, in the Region Hovedstaden with a population of 15,468 (1 January 2011). It received the status of market town in 1810. The town is famous for its annual Viking Games as well as for the J.F. Willumsen museum. Since 1935, it has been connected to Hornsherred via the Kronprins Frederik Bridge.

J.F. Willumsens Museum is in Frederikssund. The museum is an art museum dedicated to the works of the artist Jens Ferdinand Willumsen and was opened in 1957. The museum is located in Frederikssund Municipality. The museum was founded in 1957, designed by the architect Tyge Hvass, and a new wing was opened in 2005, designed by the architect Theo Bjerg. The head of the museum from 1973-1990 and 1993-2006 was art historian mag. art. Leila Krogh (born 1943).
