Technical University of Denmark Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at DTU (Danish: Institut for Matematik, MAT) is an institute at the Technical University of Denmark. It was founded to consolidate all mathematical research and teaching in one institute. All bsc. -students at DTU receive at least 20 ECTS points worth of classes from MAT during their first year. The institute is located in building 303 S at Matematiktorvet, quadrant 3 on Lundtoftesletten in Lyngby, Denmark.

Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality

Lyngby-Taarbæk Kommune (the spelling Lyngby-Tårbæk Kommune is occasionally used) is a municipality in Region Hovedstaden near Copenhagen on the east coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 39 km², and has a total population of 51,449 (2008). Its mayor as of 2010 is Søren P. Rasmussen, a member of the Liberal Party (Venstre) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Kongens Lyngby.

Danish National Space Center

The Danish National Space Center (DNSC; Danish: Danmarks Rumcenter, DRC) is a Danish sector research Institute and a part of the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. It is located in Copenhagen at Østerbro. It has a staff of 105, including 69 researchers. It came about as a result of combining the Danish Space Research Institute with the geodesy part of the National Survey and Cadastre of Denmark on January 1, 2005.
