Until January 1, 2007, Bramsnæs was a municipality in Roskilde County on the island of Zealand in east Denmark. The municipality, lying between Roskilde Fjord and Isefjord, covered an area of 80 km², and had a total population of 9,391 (2005). The Kingdom of Elleore is a micronation located on the island of Elleore in the Roskilde Fjord, north of Roskilde on the Danish island of Zealand. The island was purchased by a group of Copenhagen schoolteachers in 1944 for use as a summer camp. They proclaimed the island's tongue-in-cheek "independence" as a Kingdom as a gentle parody of the government structure and royal traditions of Denmark.

Svanholm
Svanholm is a country estate and former manor 55 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1978 an association of over 100 persons bought the estate to create Denmark's largest intentional community. The Svanholm Collective grows its own food and was one of the pioneers of organic farming in Denmark. As of January 2006, membership consisted of 70 adults and 35 children aged 0 to 80, jointly owning around 400 hectares (988 acres) of farmland, park, and woodlands.
