Sakoula DNC

Sakoula Project is a building project located at Sakoula, Minya governorate, Egypt. An improvement and rehabilitation of Sakoula Regulator on Bahr Yussef Canal, it was financed by Japanese grant aid, and was completed in 2006. The contractor is Dai Nippon Construction, a Japanese company working in the construction field.

Maghagha

Maghagha is city in Egypt, located on the west bank of the Nile. It is the most northward city in the Minya Governorate. In May 1963, the Egyptian ferry boat Adel capsized at Upper Nile, Maghagha, Governorate, Egypt. 206 people were killed.

Oxyrhynchus Papyri

The Oxyrhynchus Papyri are a group of manuscripts discovered by archaeologists including Bernard Pyne Grenfell and Arthur Surridge Hunt at an ancient rubbish dump near Oxyrhynchus in Egypt . The manuscripts date from the 1st to the 6th century AD. They include thousands of Greek and Latin documents, letters and literary works. They also include a few vellum manuscripts, and more recent Arabic manuscripts on paper (for example, the medieval P. Oxy. VI 1006).
