Kauhajoki school shooting

The Kauhajoki school shooting occurred on September 23, 2008, at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences in Western Finland. The gunman, 22-year-old hospitality management student Matti Juhani Saari (May 20, 1986 – September 23, 2008) shot and fatally injured ten people with a Walther P22 semi-automatic pistol, before shooting himself in the head. He died a few hours later in Tampere University Hospital. One woman was injured but was in a stable condition.

Botniaring Racing Circuit

The Botniaring is a racing circuit situated in Southern Ostrobothnia, Jurva, Finland. The track is mostly used for national races but in the last years there has been also arranged NEZ (North European Zone) races. Jurva

Jurva is a former municipality of Finland. It was consolidated to Kurikka on 1 January 2009. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southern Ostrobothnia region. The municipality had a population of 4,611 (2003) and covered an area of 447.18 km² of which 3.11 km² is water. The population density was 10.3 inhabitants per km². The municipality was unilingually Finnish.
