Osse (river)

The Osse is a 120 km long river in southwestern France, right tributary of the river Gélise. Its source is in the Hautes-Pyrénées, 2 km southeast of the village Bernadets-Debat, in the Plateau de Lannemezan. It joins the river Gélise 5 km southwest of the town Nérac. Its course crosses the following départements and communes: Hautes-Pyrénées: Bernadets-Debat Gers: Montesquiou, Saint-Arailles, Vic-Fezensac, Mouchan Lot-et-Garonne: Fréchou, Moncrabeau, Lannes

Auzoue

The Auzoue is a 74.2 km long river in the Gers and Lot-et-Garonne départements, southwestern France. Its source is at Bassoues. It flows generally north. It is a right tributary of the Gélise into which it flows at Mézin.

Château de Montaner

The Château de Montaner is a castle in the commune of Montaner in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques département of southern France. Thee castle was built in the 14th century on the orders of Gaston Fébus to protect the frontiers of Béarn with Bigorre and Armagnac. The architect, Sicard de Lordat, was also responsible for the Château de Pau and the Château de Morlanne and is noted for utilising brick in his constructions, its advantages being comparative cheapness and speed.
