Chuburkhindji

Chuburkhindji (known as Tzalamukhi until 1957) is a village in the Gali District of Abkhazia. As is the case in the rest of the district its population is almost exclusively Mingrelian (an ethnic subgroup of the Georgian people). The village is the place of regular quadripartite meetings known informally as the "Chuburkhinji sessions". The meetings have been suspended by the Abkhaz side since November 2006.

Zugdidi Botanical Garden

Zugdidi Botanical Garden (Georgian: ზუგდიდის ბოტანიკური ბაღი), Zugdidi branch of Central Botanical Garden administered by the Georgian Academy of Sciences; was built in the late 19th century by the prince of Samegrelo David Dadiani, near his residence. The garden now has over eighty genus of exotic plants introduced from southeast Asia, India, Japan, Mediterranean and the Americas.

Samegrelo

Samegrelo/Samargalo or Megrelia, Mingrelia is a historic province in the western part of Georgia, formerly also known as Odishi. It is inhabited by the Mingrelians, an ethnic subgroup of the Georgians.

Tsalenjikha

Tsalenjikha (Georgian: წალენჯიხა, also transliterated as Tsalendjikha and Tzalenjikha) is a town in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region of western Georgia with the population of c. 8,900 (2002). It is located on the river Chanistsqali. Historically, Tsalenjikha functioned as one of the residences of the Dadiani princes of Mingrelia and a bishopric seat with a medieval cathedral of the Savior.
