Ansbach school attack

The Ansbach school attack occurred on 17 September 2009, at the Carolinum Gymnasium in Ansbach, Germany. The attacker Georg R. , a 19-year-old man whom the BBC reports as a former student, entered the school that morning armed with petrol bombs and an axe. At least nine people were injured in the attack, at least one of them seriously. A Nuremberg police spokesman stated that all the wounded are eight-graders.

Residenz Ansbach

Residenz Ansbach (Ansbach Residence), also known as Markgrafenschloß, is a palace in Ansbach, Germany where St. Gumbertus and St. Johannis are also located. It was the government seat of the Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach. Today it is the administrative seat of the government of Middle Franconia.
