German Continental Deep Drilling Program

The German Continental Deep Drilling Program (in German Kontinentales Tiefbohrprogramm der Bundesrepublik Deutschland), abbreviated as the KTB borehole, has been a scientific drilling project from 1987 to 1995 near Windischeschenbach, Bavaria. The main superdeep borehole has reached a depth of 9101 meter into the Earth's continental crust. The project was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research with 528 million Deutschmark (270 million Euro).

Neustadt an der Waldnaab is a district in Bavaria, Germany. It is bounded by (from the south and clockwise) the districts of Schwandorf, Amberg-Sulzbach, Bayreuth and Tirschenreuth, and by the Czech Republic. The city of Weiden in der Oberpfalz is enclosed by, but not belonging to the district.

Dürrschweinnaab

Dürrschweinnaab is a river of Bavaria, Germany. It is the right tributary of the Sauer river in Upper Palatinate. It arises at Großenbühl (448 m) from the confluence of Lohbach and black moss creek, which is northeast of Stone Park. It is the smallest estuary of the Naab.
