Lower Lusatian Heath Nature Park

The Lower Lusatian Heath Nature Park (German: Naturpark Niederlausitzer Heidelandschaft) is a nature park and reserve in the state of Brandenburg, Germany. It covers an area of 490 km² (189 sq mi). It was established on May 24 1996. In the south, where Brandenburg's oldest landscape is found, the area was formed approximately 180,000 years ago at the end of the ice age, with its glacial valley. Among the ice-age deposits are massive coal layers.

Kleine Röder

The Kleine Röder or Wilde Röder is a river, about 20 km long, in the east German state of Saxony. It rises on the southwestern slopes of the Eierberg near Lichtenberg in the district of Bautzen at 320 m. Below Leppersdorf the stream changes its course from southwest to north, following the general lie of the land.

NKVD Special Camp No. 1

The NKVD Special Camp No. 1 (German: Speziallager Nr. 1 Mühlberg) was a special camp operated by the NKVD from 1945-1948, during the Soviet occupation of parts of Germany. It was located 4 km to the east of Mühlberg, Brandenburg using the shacks of the former German run prisoners-of-war camp Stalag IV-B.

Große Röder

Große Röder is a river of Saxony and Brandenburg, eastern Germany. It is a left tributary of the river Schwarze Elster. It rises near Arnsdorf, about 20 km east of Dresden. It flows in a generally northwestern direction, through the towns Radeberg, Radeburg and Großenhain. It joins the Schwarze Elster in the village Haida, west of Elsterwerda.
