Nesselberg

The Nesselberg is a ridge up to 378.2 m above sea level high in the Calenberg Highland which, together with the Kleiner Deister and the Osterwald, forms a group of three contiguous hill regions in the northwestern part of the Leine Uplands. It lies between Altenhagen I and Coppenbrügge in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Deister

The Deister is a chain of hills in the German state of Lower Saxony, about 15 mi (25 km) southwest of the city of Hanover. It runs in a north-westerly direction from Springe in the south to Rodenberg in the north. The next the chain of hills that attaches in the south is called Small Deister. It is surrounded by Springe, Wennigsen, Barsinghausen, Bad Nenndorf, Rodenberg and Bad Münder (counter-clockwise, starting in the south).

Bennigsen Beavers

The Bennigsen Beavers are a German baseball and softball team in the Springer Ortsteil Bennigsen, southwest of Hannover. The club has at points in the past participated in the first division of the Baseball Bundesliga The first men's team currently plays in the Verbandsliga, the 4th tier of baseball in Germany.

Pied Piper's House

Although the stone facade dates from 1602, the half-timbered building known colloquially as the Pied Piper’s House in Hameln is actually much older. The facade was built for Mayor Hermann Arendes by the architects Johann Hundertossen and/or Eberhard Wilkening in the style of the Renaissance. The older picture shows the adjacent “Street without Music” with a view of buildings that no longer stand today. The stone construction to the left also exists no more.

Marienburg Castle (Hanover)

Marienburg Castle is a Gothic revival castle in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located 15 kilometres north-west of Hildesheim, and around 20 kilometres south of Hanover, in the municipality of Pattensen, Hanover. It was a summer residence of the House of Guelph. It was once given as a birthday present by King George V of Hanover (reigned 1851–1866) to his wife, Marie of Saxe-Altenburg. It is presently owned by Prince Ernst August of Hanover.
