Uelzen station

The Uelzen station is a crossing station in Uelzen at the eastern edge of the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park in northeastern Lower Saxony. The original station was renovated for Expo 2000 following plans by the Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. As an "environmentally culturally oriented" station, the Uelzen station is now marketed as the Hundertwasser-Bahnhof Uelzen (Hundertwasser Station, Uelzen). Today it is one of the town's popular tourist attractions.

Wessenstedt

Wessenstedt is located in the Lüneburg Heath, is a quarter of Natendorf having about 150 inhabitants and belongs to Altes Amt Ebstorf of district Uelzen, Lower Saxony. Wessenstedt is known for the discovery of a nearby Urnfield. The pottery has been used as an archeological marker corresponding to the Iron Age period known otherwise as Hallstatt "C". However, unlike Hallstatt, this site is not considered Celtic and rather Germanic instead.

Hösseringen Museum Village

The Hösseringen Museum Village is located at Hösseringen in the German state of Lower Saxony. Covering an area of 10,000 square metres, it displays important examples of the Lower German, timber-framed, open-hall house, the so-called Low German house or Fachhallenhaus. These buildings are all faithful reconstructions, the majority stemming from Uelzen district, that have been dismantled, moved and rebuilt on the site.
