Sassenburg-Stüde

Stüde is a village in the municipality of Sassenburg in Gifhorn district in the German state of Lower Saxony. In March 2005 it had 714 main residences and 339 secondary residences. It has an area of about 1,900 ha which consists mainly of woodland, including many clumps of pines on sandy soil. The Elbe-Seitenkanal runs nearby. It is also home to the recreation area of the Bernsteinsee. Near the village is a glider airfield belonging to the Wolfsburg Aero-Club.

Isenhagen Abbey

Isenhagen Abbey is a convent in Hankensbüttel in the district of Gifhorn in the German state of Lower Saxony. It was a nunnery founded by the Cistercian order but is now a Lutheran women's convent. It is managed by the monastic chamber in Hanover.

Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium

Europaschule Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium is a Gymnasium (high school) in Gifhorn, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is the first Gymnasium in Gifhorn and was founded in 1950 as a private school named "Höhere Privatschule Gifhorn" (Higher Private School Gifhorn). Easter 1954, the school became a public school. In 1969 the school was renamed in its today's name "Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium". As of 2005 it had 1,456 students and about 115 teachers and student teachers.
