Kösterbeck (nature reserve)

Kösterbeck is a nature reserve in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which was established in 1986. Its territory was expanded in 1990 and reduced on 13 June 1995. It derives its name from a stream flowing from east to west through the area, also called the Kösterbeck, a tributary of the Warnow.

Rostock Switzerland

Rostock Switzerland is a terminal moraine landscape and part of the Kösterbeck Nature Reserve. It lies southeast of the German city of Rostock in the district of the same name. The majority of it is in the municipality of Roggentin. For a region so near the coast, it is very hilly, hence the name Rostock Switzerland. The Kösterbeck is a small river, that runs through a deep incision that emphasises the height differences.

Kösterbeck (river)

The Kösterbeck is a river near Rostock in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is a tributary of the Warnow. The little river runs through the nature reserve of the same name in the parish of Roggentin in a part of Rostock Switzerland. This hilly landscape was formed as a terminal moraine in the ice age. The Kösterbeck is fed from several small runlets, that drain the Teufelsmoor ("Devil's Moor") near Sanitz, and by the Moehlenbäk ca. 1.5 km south of Sanitz.

Kontek

The Kontek HVDC is a 170-kilometre long, monopolar 400 kV high-voltage direct current cable between Germany and the Danish island Zealand. Its name comes from "continent" and the name of the former Danish power transmission company "Elkraft", which operated the power grid on the Danish islands Lolland, Falster and Zealand and had the abbreviation "ek". As of today, the cable is operated by Energinet. dk in Denmark and 50Hertz Transmission GmbH in Germany.
