Rüterberg

Rüterberg is a Stadtteil of Dömitz in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The community lies in the former East Germany on a portion of the Elbe River that formed part of the border with the former West Germany. By the end of the communist era, Rüterburg was surrounded by a wall that completely cut the community off from the rest of East Germany.

Elde

The Elde is a river in northern Germany, a right tributary of the Löcknitz. Its total length is 220 km. The Elde originates near Altenhof, south of Malchow. It first flows southeast towards the southern end of Lake Müritz, which it enters at Vipperow. It flows out of the Müritz at its northern end, near Waren. It turns west, and flows through a series of small lakes, and along the town Malchow, until the Plauer See.

Gartow-Höhbeck transmitter is a large facility for FM- and TV-transmission in Lower-Saxony, situated behalf of the community of Gartow and Höhbeck. Gartow-Höhbeck transmitter had until 2009 two guyed antenna masts, one with a height of 327 metre, the other with a height of 344 metres. This made Gartow-Höhbeck transmitter the only transmission site in Europe with two supertall towers, that was exclusively used for transmissions in the VHF-/UHF-range.
