Belvedere Water Tower

The Water Tower Belvedere is a water tower of reinforced concrete construction in Aachen, Germany, located on the Lousberg hill. It was built in 1956. The water tower accommodates a revolving restaurant, which reopened in 2005 after being closed for several years. The restaurant revolves once every 56 minutes.

Klinikum Aachen

The Klinikum Aachen, full German name "Universitätsklinikum Aachen" (University Hospital Aachen), abbreviated UKA, formerly known as "Neues Klinikum", is the largest hospital in Europe, located in Aachen. It is part of the RWTH Aachen and contains its whole medical faculty. Seen from far away, for many visitors the Klinikum Aachen looks like an oil refinery rather than a hospital, due to the huge striped ventilation pipes that are attached to the outer walls.

Aachen Cathedral

Aachen Cathedral, frequently referred to as the "Imperial Cathedral", is a Roman Catholic church in Aachen, Germany. The church is the oldest cathedral in northern Europe and was known as the "Royal Church of St. Mary at Aachen" during the Middle Ages. For 600 years, from 936 to 1531, the Aachen chapel was the church of coronation for 30 German kings and 12 queens. The church is the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Aachen.
