SNR-300
The Fast Breeder nuclear reactor SNR-300 was built near the town of Kalkar, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was completed but never taken online. SNR-300 was to output 327 megawatts. The project cost about 7 billion Deutsche Mark (about 3.5 billion euros or over 4 billion USD). Klaus Traube, then director of the executing company Interatom, is today one of the most prominent German opponents of the usage of nuclear power.

Wunderland Kalkar
Wunderland Kalkar is an amusement park in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, just north of Düsseldorf. It is built on the former site of SNR-300, a nuclear power plant that never went online because of construction problems and protests. The park was constructed by Dutch entrepreneuer Hennie van der Most, who purchased the site for a rumored price of USD$3 billion. Wunderland Kalkar receives around 600,000 visitors each year.

Moyland Castle
Moyland Castle is a moated castle in Bedburg-Hau in the district of Kleve, one of the most important neo-Gothic buildings in North Rhine-Westphalia. Its name derives from the Dutch word Moiland which means "beautiful country". The name was probably coined by Dutch workers, which the former owner Jacob van den Eger of the Lower Rhine had brought to his property to drain the surrounding wetlands.
