Lünen Power Station

Lünen Power Station is a coal-fired power station in Germany. It's located in Lünen in the district Unna. It has an output capacity of 500 megawatts. The first power station in Lünen was commissioned in 1938. The power station produces traction current since 1984 also. Since at the end of 2003 is produced in the power station also long-distance heating. Annual coal consumption amounts to 960,000 tons. The operator of the power station is Evonik Industries.

Cappenberg Castle

Schloss Cappenberg (Cappenberg Castle) is a former Premonstratensian monastery, Cappenberg Abbey in Cappenberg, a part of Selm, North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. It stands on an elevation, the Cappenberg, near Lünen and Werne, and is a vantage point offering views over the eastern Ruhrgebiet. In the castle grounds is a water tower constructed in 1899, now a protected monument, which was restored in 1992.

Synagogue Selm-Bork

The Synagogue Selm-Bork is one of two remaining rural synagogues in Westphalia, and a witness of pre-holocaust Jewish life in Westphalia. The exact year of construction is unknown, the first written reference was found in a directory of houses, written in 1818. Until Kristallnacht of 1938, the synagogue was used for prayer. During the pogrom the building was looted and partially destroyed. The Jewish community was forced to sell the building.

Dortmund-Kurl station

Dortmund-Kurl station is in the Dortmund suburb of Kurl in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia on the Dortmund–Hamm line. The station has two platform tracks and an overtaking track for long-distance trains and a freight track without platforms, which is no longer used.
