Nicolaus-Cusanus-Gymnasium Bergisch Gladbach

The Nicolaus-Cusanus-Gymnasium (NCG) is a public high school in the German city Bergisch Gladbach. The school is named after the German church law academic, philosopher, bishop and cardinal Nicholas of Cusa. In 1888 the private ‘Knabenschule’ (boys' high school) was established which later became the Nicolaus-Cusanus-Gymnasium. In 1958 the school moved to its new location on Reuterstraße near the city centre.

Bergisch Gladbach station

Bergisch Gladbach station is a terminal station and forms the public transport hub of the city of Bergisch Gladbach, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It has been the terminus of line S 11 of the Rhine-Sieg S-Bahn (now part of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn) since 1 June 1975. This service now runs via Cologne, Neuss and Düsseldorf to Düsseldorf Airport Terminal station. It also includes the city’s freight yard.

Altenberg (Bergisches Land)

Altenberg is an Ortsteil (area) in the municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and was formerly the seat of the Counts of Berg. Over the course of time they created around their Residence a small dominion, which later came to be called the Bergisches Land.

Altenberg Abbey

Altenberg Abbey (Abtei Altenberg) is a former Cistercian monastery in Altenberg, now a part of Odenthal in the Bergisches Land, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was founded in 1133 as a daughter house of Morimond Abbey and settled initially in the old castle of the Counts of Berg, Burg Berge, which the counts had left for Schloss Burg, but moved to the new purpose-built monastery in the valley of the Dhünn in 1153.
