Arcen
Arcen is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. In 2010, it became part of the municipality of Venlo. Previously, it had been part of the municipality of Arcen en Velden and the seat of 'het gemeentehuis' (Town Hall). In 2001, Arcen had 1884 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.39 km, and contained 747 residences. Its location on the river Maas makes it a popular tourist attraction. It is wedged in between Germany in the east and the river Maas in the west.

Broekhuizen is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Horst aan de Maas, and lies about 14 km north of Venlo. Broekhuizen was a separate municipality until 2001, when it was merged with Horst aan de Maas. The village exists at least since 1461. The castle of Broekhuizen was destroyed at the Battle of Broekhuizen in 1944. In 2001, Broekhuizen had 601 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.15 km², and contained 236 residences.

Weeze Airport
Weeze Airport or Niederrhein Airport is an airport situated 3.7 km southwest of the small municipality of Weeze in the Lower Rhine (Niederrhein) region of western Germany. It is 7 km northwest of Kevelaer, about 33 km southeast of Nijmegen, Netherlands, and 48 km northwest of Duisburg. It uses the facilities of the former military airbase RAF Laarbruch, and began operations as a civil airport in 2003. Weeze Airport is used mostly by low-cost carriers, mainly Ryanair.
