German submarine U-2323
German submarine U-2323) was probably the shortest lived German U-boat during the whole of the Second World War. Constructed at Hamburg during the spring of 1944, she was a modern German Type XXIII submarine, completed on the 18 July and given to Kptlt. Walter Angermann to command. A fast high-technology coastal boat, U-2323 was expected to be the new war-winning weapon in the Kriegsmarine's arsenal.

Kieler Förde
Kieler Förde</b> is an approximately 17 km long inlet of the Baltic Sea on the eastern side of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Formed by glacial movement during the last Ice Age, it devides Danish Wold peninsula from Wagria. Like the other inlets of förde-type, geologically it is no fjord. It originates at the Hörn in centre-city Kiel and merges into the Bay of Kiel. The eastern terminus of the Kiel Canal is located along Kiel Fjord.

Danish Wahld
The Danish Wahld is a peninsula in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is located between Eckernförde Bay in the north and Kiel Fjord in the south. The Amt "Dänischer Wohld" in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde is named after the peninsula, but only encompasses a central part of the region. The southern Danish Wahld is bordered by the Kiel Canal and remnants of the Eider Canal. It predominantly was composed of the older Eckernförde district, now within Rendsburg-Eckernförde.

HMS Seal (N37)
HMS Seal was one of six ships of the Grampus-class mine-laying submarines of the Royal Navy. She served in the Second World War and was captured by the Kriegsmarine and taken into German service as U-B. She was the only submarine the Germans captured at sea during World War II. Seal was laid down at the Chatham Dockyard on 9 December 1936, launched on 27 September 1938 and commissioned into the Royal Navy on 24 May 1939.

Holstein-Stadion
Located in the port city of Kiel in Northern Germany, Holstein-Stadion is the home of Holstein Kiel, a soccer club currently playing in Germany's 3rd Liga. It is also the home of the GFLs Kiel Baltic Hurricanes. In 2005, the DFB ruled that the old stadium didn't meet the body's minimal stadium requirements, claiming the stadium was no longer fit for football and was in desperate need of a substantial makeover.
